Marjory Ann Ferguson, 79, of Scottdale (East Huntingdon Township), passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at her home.

She was born August 5, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late George Elmer and Mary Kemp Meason.

Ann married William George Ferguson on Jan. 11, 1951. She was a homemaker and graduated from Scottdale High School in 1950. After high school, she briefly worked for Anchor Hocking in Connellsville and Robertshaw Controls in New Stanton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Francis Meason; and five sisters, Eleanor Smitley, Virginia Tarr, Margaret Kurtz, Jane Smitley and June Shallenberger. Marjory Ann will be sadly missed by her loving family; her husband of 59 years, William George Ferguson; her son, William G. Ferguson Jr., of Scottdale; her two sisters, Iris Smouse, of New York state, and Lois Randolph, of Scottdale; numerous nieces and nephews; and her little buddy, Oliver.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, (724-887-5300 / / GPS: N40 degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. James Cordell officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery.
